This will be Billy Holt’s 2nd year on our Bartlett Baseball staff. Coach Holt
brings 9 years of coaching and teaching experience.
Coach Holt previously taught for 4 years at Kingsbury High School in
Memphis, Tn, where he coached football and 3 years at Bolton High School
where he coached baseball and football.
Coach Holt is married to his wonderful wife Holly. They have been married
for 4 and ½ years. They also have a chocolate lab named Buster.
Coach Holt is a 1996 Bartlett High School graduate where he was a 4 year
letterman in baseball, football and 1 year in Basketball. After graduating,
Coach Holt went on to play College Baseball at Shelby State Community
College, in Memphis, Tn. (Presently Southwest Community College ) He and
coach Stewart were teammates at Shelby State. After playing at Shelby
State, coach Holt played baseball at the University of Tennessee at Martin
were he earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Science in 2000. Coach Holt
attended the University of Memphis and received his Masters degree in
Special Education in 2003.
Coach Holt along with Coach Taylor will be working with our JV players and
prepare them for Varsity baseball. He will be in charge of the pitchers. He
will also help our freshman as they make their adjustment to high school
baseball. Coach Holt and Coach Taylor helped lead our JV to another
Regional Championship last year with a 28-5 record. It was the 3rd
consecutive Regional Championship for the Bartlett Baseball program.
We are very fortunate to have coach Holt and with his coaching and teaching
skills we are sure to have another successful year.
