Coach Locke’s Christian approach to the game provides the type of quality training that an athlete can use every day, both on and off the field. His dedication and knowledge of the game are matched only by his enthusiasm and desire to see that each player reaches his personal potential.
In his 15 years of coaching at the high school level, Coach Locke has helped send 60 pitchers into college baseball and 5 pitchers into professional baseball. His pitchers have won a National Championship (38 - 0) in 1995, Three State Championships (1995, 2001 & 2007), Four State Runner-Up Titles (1993, 1998, 2006 & 2008), 11 District Championships, 8 Regional Championships, Two NABF World Series Championships (1999 & 2000), Dixie Pre- Majors State Championship in 2005 and Three USA Challenge Championships (2005, 2007 & 2008).
A native of Memphis, Coach Locke pitched and played first base at Treadwell High School where he helped the Eagles win the State Championship his senior year.
He earned a 4-Year baseball scholarship to Christian Brothers University where he was named MVP his junior year.
He and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 25 years and have two daughters. Married daughter Julie is a graduate of Union University and is a Registered Nurse at Le Bonheur Children's hospital and younger daughter Katie is an honor student at Bartlett High School where she is a starting pitcher for the Lady Panthers high school softball team. They are members of Faith Baptist Church of Bartlett and Coach Locke enjoys working with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has also spoken at the Youth Baseball Coaches Clinic since 1997.
Coach Locke owns his own business, Dave Locke Performance Pitching. He is available to provide personal one-on-one lessons to Pitchers and Outfielders , from the beginner to the professional player.
